Hollington Rehabilitation Consulting specializes in the management of complex cases (e.g. a combination of physical and/or psychological and/or addictive disorders), including clients with disabilities related to motor vehicle accidents (MVA) and those with short-term (STD) and long-term (LTD disabilities.
- Initial Vocational Rehabilitation Assessment
This includes an in-person visit with the client and the completion of a comprehensive written report, including the client's rehabilitation potential and recommendations for the next step. For example, to visit the client's healthcare provider to develop appropriate vocational rehabilitation plans and then, visit the employer to negotiate the implementation of the plan.
- File Review
This involves a thorough review of the background information on file and the rehabilitation efforts implemented to date to identify barriers that might be preventing the client from reclaiming his/her health and to recommend ways to overcome the barriers.
- Case Management
To ensure optimum communication and coordination among all persons involved in the vocational rehabilitation process to accelerate recovery and return to work.
- Development, Implementation and Monitoring of Return-To-Work Plans
To develop—in collaboration with the client, their healthcare provider and the employer—implement and closely monitor innovative vocational rehabilitation plans to ensure a successful outcome.
- Job Search Preparation
(ten hours @ $80 per hour = $800)
This includes the preparation of a job resume and job search correspondence, a mock interview, tips on how to prepare for a job interview, tips on marketing and networking to find employment, and instructions on how to use the Internet to find employment.
- Private Lecturer on Compassion Fatigue/Vicarious Tramatization
Compassion Fatigue (Figley, 1995) is the result of the effects of cumulative traumatic stress (primary and secondary) and burnout in the professional and personal life of the service professional. These lectures help participants to develop and implement interventions in their lives to diminish the effects of compassion fatigue. If applied and practiced regularly, the development of skills in each of these areas will assist the participant in achieving resiliency and immunity to high-stress and high-demand situations.
